Blizzard announces Warlords of Draenor expansion, and a price increase for UK players

On 14 August, Blizzard announced that it was launching the Warlords of Draenor expansion for its MMORPG, World of Warcraft, on 13 November.

In this expansion, players will get to:

• Explore the savage world of Draenor, home of the orc and draenei races.

• Build your own garrison on Draenor.

• Instantly upgrade to level 90 to be ready to adventure on Draenor.

• Use new player character art.

• Adventure to Level 100.

• Take on a wide array of dungeons, raids, scenarios, battlegrounds, challenge modes, and more.

Players in the United Kingdom, though, may have to pay more to play this expansion.

Two days ago, Blizzard announced that it was raising the pound sterling subscription price of World of Warcraft to £9.99 for 30 days from £8.99, £28.17 for 90 days from £25.17, and £52.14 for 180 days from £46.14. The suggested retail price of the 60-day prepaid time card will be £20.99.

Players with uninterrupted auto-renewing subscriptions at the time of the price change will retain their current price for two years though.
