Last week, Microsoft released its first Age of Empires 4 gameplay video at the X019 in London.

The video shows scenes from a battle set in the Medieval era between two factions that appear to be the English and Mongols. No details on the game were given, though, and a release date was not mentioned.

Age of Empires 4 is being developed by Relic Entertainment.

On the same day that the Age of Empires 4 gameplay video was released, Microsoft launched Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition, its remastered version of the real-time strategy game Age of Empires II: The Age of Kings first released in 1999, on the Microsoft Store, Steam, and for subscribers to Xbox Game Pass for the Windows PC.
